White Noise-An Electric Storm

Oh, Delia Derbyshire you electronic goddess. This has already received a heap of praise, and it should. I think this band was formed by a bunch of BBC studio musos ready to bring in the new sounds from way out. And man, it does sound like the future that should have happened but never happened. Along the way they influenced bands like Spacemen 3, Broadcast, Stereolab, and all the other shit that uses electronic whizzes and whirrs to achieve higher key tones. I guess it's the British version of The United States of America or 50 Foot Hose, but maybe a little darker. Way ahead of its time.
