More dark folkiness issued on the legendary ESP-Disk. This comes courtesy of one Tom Rapp, currently a wall street lawyer, previously a songwriter who beat Dylan in a songwriting competition. While ESP-Disk was mostly home to some of the oddest free jazz sounds, they released a few folk gems as well. But this is my personal favorite from their catalog. The Bosch cover should indicate that this ain't gonna be some dancing in the fields with the wind blowing through our long hair hippie folk. And while it's not gonna make you slit your wrists, it's not gonna cheer you up any. But who wants that anyways?Here
