Here's a really treat. The stars must have been aligned sometime in 1971, when two tweens (11 & 10) got together to cut this fantastic slice of innocence. I've read about some Shaggs comparisons, and that's not too far off. But christ, these kids wrote better songs than I ever could. Their ineptitude only makes it that more charming. Normally, I think kids suck pretty hard, but for some reason there's a really understated beauty and yearning here that makes me think that there might be a few kids that don't need to be dashed against some rocks. More kids need to follow and leave that kids bop shit alone. It's just creepy.
