Buffy Sainte-Marie-Illuminations

Man, this must have freaked a lot of folkies out when it first appeared. I have to say, I was a little disappointed when I finally tracked a copy down, as I had read that this was some weird electronic folk nightmare. It is good, really good, but I thought it was going to be much more out there. I suppose this reaction is just due to the distance from when it was released. Nonetheless, it's still a great album. And the Leonard Cohen cover is just amazing. While it was a big flop at the time, it's importance, only recently, has become clear.
