Dschinn

I know things can often get a little too out around here and it can all start to seem like an exercise in esoterica. This post is to remind us all that there is nothing qrong with rock and roll. I know it's fallen out of fashion as of late, and few people seem to just want to play some rock music. Those fuckers who drape themselves in irony have tried to poach legends (ZZ Top, et al.). Despite their passionless attempts to pilfer quility rock and scornfully wear their faux vintage concert tees, I cannot turn my back on simple beauty on the simple beauty of well constructed rock. And that's more or less what you get here, albeit filtered through a very German understanding of the genre. It's also a NWW listed band. Final note, people stop pretending to like things that you don't actually like. No one finds you charming just because you have a perm and wear a Scorpions shirt (of course I love them to death as well).

On a grander scale even. One could be convinced that the gates of heaven will open first for those that like the most esoteric shit. One sound they will never have/never hear is the sound of old man failure. At least not mine as it whirrs around my head. I'm loathe to describe what it even sounds like lest it be turned into some cunt-core/shit-step grimey micro-genre for non-fucked up people to fuck to.

Also your blog has at least five percent less vomittus dross than most of these music blogs. Take that as a compliment or an insult. Your choice.

  2. Okay, I won't pretend; The band is competent but the singer is not much good. Maybe that's why no one has heard of them before?

It seems to me, however, most people who take time to leave a positive comment on your blog do so because they appreciate what you have to offer. Which means, perhaps, that if they don't leave a comment it's because they having nothing nice to say....

  3. Matt, I'm not fishing for compliments or anything. People are free to say something is shit if that is how they feel. I allow all comments to stay as they are. And I'm used to posts going without comments. I don't think I've been urging people to say anything aside from requests they might have.

  4. You sure this is on the NWW list? Other than that, this kicks tail -- thanks for the post.
