If for no other reason than they were just mentioned in my last post. Since the best holiday ever (no, I'm not talking about Felt hat day, dumbo) is soon approaching, this is mandatory. Crank this up and frighten all those little brats. And people, let's not just default with metal. Sure there's plenty of scary to be found there, but it just seems a little too obvious. Be creative when planing your Halloween mixes and go with something that really will give you the creeps. Oh yeah, rockabilly monster songs are also strictly forbidden.

love.
ReplyDeleteDarker than the first album but always felt that the guitar sound was a little muted and too far back in the mix. You have to give the volume control some real welly to get the best out f it. Maybe it was over produced or something. It could have been an incredible recording with a bit more oomph behind it. Nevertheless this particular lp was clearly a massive influence on the emerging goth scene. You can almost hear bands like UK Decay, Sex Gang Children and Blood & Roses crawling out from behind it. Spooooooooooky,
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think you've got a point. Who knows, maybe this will get some weird remastering sometime in the future. I just doubt there's that big of a demand for it though.
ReplyDeleteOh all it will take is for Siouxsie to die or something, then it will be cash-in time for the record company. Remastered, repackaged, recycled reissues.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's always pretty funny (and predictable) when that happens.
