Douglas Quin-Antartica

Glaciers creaking & cracking. Whales moan, and seals squeak, and penguins do penguin shit (overrated animal). The coldness is palpable. Hearing the real sounds of Antarctica almost makes this day seem warm...Almost.

Terje Isungset-Igloo

If you know me then you're aware that I have a strong affinity for icy Nordic metal. But how cold does that really get? How about playing some ice motherfuckers? I don't mean metaphorically, I mean literally. That's exactly what Insungset does here. From what I understand, all the sounds made on this album are produced (barring human voice) by playing ice. Maybe this is a lie, and I can't testify to its veracity as I've never seen their performance at the famous Ice Hotel, but it sounds legit to me.
